Today was crazy to say the least at first. I got to to the Church building about 6:45am.  We set everything up and about 7:50am a transformer in the city blew and we lost our power in the church.  It came on then back off several times.  Then around 9:30am everything came back on and was fixed and we were able to do a full run through & sound check.    This morning the mood was good and the band was rocking.  I mean really rocking 🙂  It was a fun morning musically.   I loved starting with “My Faith has Found a Resting Place”  Brian Oaks version is as rad as it gets.  My buddy Blayne Chastain wrote the music to this old Hymn and Brian Oaks took it and recorded it very cool like.  I love the words and it was a great way to start the morning.  “In Christ Alone” is a band favorite.  The words are powerful and the dynamics in this one are good and man it slams when the band comes in.  Matt Papa’s version is tight and fun to play!  “The Highest Praise” put an energy in the room this morning that was crazy.  The Father’s House CD is full of good tunes for your church.  This one for sure is a keeper!  “Grace Upon Grace” has amazing lyrics and I felt like our people needed to hear those words today.  Before the message. Jess Kostella our lead guitar players wife played and sang this one.  It was well done and powerful.   “All we need” was off the charts today.   We all kinda got lost in this one.  It was really kickin.  During the solo part we had not really practiced a set solo part for Chad.  Well when we got to that part it all just made sense and Chad just took off and played something that was so full of passion and oh man, power, it was an amazing solo that just made sense.  I don’t like flashy worship/solo’s in worship but this wasn’t flashy, it was dirty and emotional and was spirit lead.  It was a good morning.
I missed posting last week cause I went out of town for the weekend with the family for a mini vacation.   I’m glad to be back and excited to see what everyone else did today
Check it out!  You won’t regret it.
